We spend our life confined in our tiny little comfort bubble. We do the same old things in the same old way, leading to a mundane existence. It makes our world smaller, and we begin to fear or have anxiety about doing things outside of our comfort zones.
From today, do one little thing that stretches you. That pushes you a little outside your comfort zone. A great way to start is to talk to someone new every day. It doesn't have to be a full-blown conversation. It can be a simple hello as you pass someone in the street or small talk with someone ahead of you in a queue.
Think of all the things you would like to do but don't out of fear and anxiety. Start to think of small ways to begin to do such things.
Remember, fear is an illusion that we have created with our minds. We only have two inbuilt fears. The rest have all been learnt or instilled in us. Begin to challenge these fears. Feel them, embrace the fear, and move forward, taking baby steps. It will build momentum, and eventually, you will have blown past your current comfort zone and created a bigger, more expansive one.
