We are all guilty of complaining, but what does it achieve? Are there any benefits to complaining? The short and direct answer is no! it has the effect of rewiring your brain for negativity. The more you complain, the more negative you become. This will breed even more negative thoughts. It's a vicious cycle. Not only that, but it also has a negative effect on your physical health.
This is what Steven Parton has to say:
"When your brain is firing off these synapses of anger, you're weakening your immune system; you're raising your blood pressure, increasing your risk of heart disease, obesity and diabetes, and a plethora of other negative ailments."
For the rest of this week, catch yourself complaining, then stop and change your train of thought. Dismiss the complaint and move on to something more positive. Notice how different you feel after one short week. Continue this practice well into the future.
