4 – Get physical

Everyone knows that exercise has a range of physical and mental health benefits. If you don't already, begin a simple strength training program. There are many free resources online. YouTube is a great starting point for free home workouts. Alternatively, you can hire a personal trainer who can guide you to becoming a stronger, fitter version of yourself.

Many jobs these days involve a lot of sitting with minimal movement throughout the day. This leads to a range of chronic aches and pains. We, as humans, are designed to move - a lot! So, get moving and get lifting. You will be grateful in the long run.

If you have never done exercise or any form of resistance training, start small. Baby steps. Allow your body time to adjust and get used to exercising. As you get stronger, you can progress to more advanced exercises, constantly challenging your body.

This will have the added effect of making you mentally stronger too. It will lift your spirits as your body is flooded with 'feel good' hormones.
