The aim is to develop a constant attitude of gratitude. We have been conditioned to look for lack, things missing from our lives, and compare. We look at others and wish our lives were better.
Our focus has shifted to what's missing rather than what's present. This has led to an increase in widespread depression and anxiety. It's time to change all that.
We need to focus on being grateful for what we have. We have to learn to appreciate what we have.
Grateful people feel less pain, less stress, suffer insomnia less, have more robust immune systems, experience healthier relationships, and do better academically and professionally. Overall it can boost both your mental and physical health.
From here on in, you will practice gratitude daily. Every morning and evening, list out all you are grateful for that day. It doesn't matter how small it is. List it. It all counts. If listing it is too difficult, spend time thinking about all the grateful things instead.
This has to become a daily practice. Notice how you feel after doing this daily for one week. You may be surprised at how much better you feel.
