We have become conditioned to work, rush about and be busy 24/7. We are constantly bombarded with messages that reinforce these very ideas.
We need to take a break from all this. Yes, goal setting is great to help create the life you truly desire, but we need balance. I know far too many people who simply can not rest. They feel they should be working and feel guilty when trying to rest and relax.
This constant rushed state of mind is not good for us and has been shown to lead to chronic illness and fatigue.
Your task today is to take a well-deserved rest. Take the day off if you can. If not, then take a minimum of 15 minutes to stop and do nothing. If you can take the day off then, go and play, or do whatever it takes for you to chill out and feel good.
You have to take a minimum of 15 minutes (if you can do more, then that's even better) of rest every day this week. Notice how you feel after the week is done.
