Seriousness is a killjoy. It makes you rigid and inflexible. I agree some important topics and issues require our focus and attention but becoming serious (in terms of mindset and attitude) closes us down to creativity and problem-solving.
Seriousness becomes ego-led and reduces your ability to listen to others without your prejudices and biases.
This week practice being less serious and more joyous. Start opening up to others and having fun. If there is an important task at hand, practice tackling it without being serious. Enjoy the task and notice how different the outcome becomes.
Being open and at ease allows your creative juices to flow, making problem-solving a lot easier than if you attempted it from a serious standpoint.
