23 – Lean into your fear

From the list you made earlier, pick one fear you wish to work on. Before attempting to work and get rid of the fear, spend a reasonable amount of time questioning this fear.

Is it real?

Is it true?

Have there been times when you should have been afraid but weren't?

Could you work your way through this?

How could you get over this fear?

Dig deep into the reality and rationale for this fear.

You will eventually pick holes and find flaws within this fear. After spending time picking it apart, you can then begin to do the very thing that this fear prevents you from doing.

Start small and take baby steps to lean into this fear. Taking baby steps allows you to stay present and rewire your neurology. As you do this, aim to generate good feelings or, at worst, stay neutral. This will teach your brain to let go of the fears that you have built up.

Remember, small continuous steps leads to progression.
