16 – Play

We have lost the time to have pure, guilt-free fun in our hectic work and commitment-driven lives. Somewhere between childhood and adulthood, we stopped playing. Bringing play back into our busy lives has an array of benefits.

Play helps:

-         Relieve stress and trigger the feel-good hormones, or endorphins

-         Improve brain function by doing crosswords or puzzles etc

-         Stimulate the mind and boost creativity

-         Improve relationships and connections to others

-         By keeping you feeling young and energetic

This is by no means a complete list. The benefits of play go on and on. The idea is to introduce play at least once a week, if not more. You will find yourself relaxing more and opening up to life. You will feel better, as well as gaining a massive boost to your wellbeing.
