13 – Talk in front of a group it

This remains one of the worlds most common phobias. It is reported that almost 74% of people suffer from speech anxiety.

When you face this fear and slowly expose yourself more and more, you will find that the fear will decrease, and your confidence will skyrocket.

Your task this week is to perform a short talk in front of at least five people. Pick any topic that you like and are comfortable talking about. Start with familiar people who you trust and are comfortable with.

Notice how you feel just thinking about this? Does the idea fill you with anxiety and dread? If so, then you must do it. As mentioned, do it with people who will encourage and support you first.

Do this every week, with a new topic and maybe a different set of people. To begin with, the aim is to get you comfortable with talking in front of people you know. As this becomes easier, start adding a few people you don't know. Ask people to bring some friends.

Keep expanding and growing. Make the groups bigger and the talks longer. Make it enjoyable, and before long, you will become more at ease with talking in front of people and making speeches.
